Mission

The Epworth Foundation is committed to providing emergency assistance and support to people in crisis in the east Denver community. Our primary goal is to offer vulnerable community members alternatives to a crisis-driven lifestyle. We promote and support healthy families, with an emphasis on children, through our various classes, programs and community outreach endeavors. In all that we do, we seek to ensure that the needs of the whole person are met and the dignity of those we serve is maintained.

Vision

The Epworth Foundation is a small organization with an incredibly large reach. Our wide-ranging programs help thousands of people throughout Denver every year. As an organization, our goal is to continue to improve on our success by strengthening our collaborative partnerships, increasing the number of families that we help and broadening our base of support.

In addition to expanding our current programs, we’re also working to establish The Epworth School: a trade school that will provide youth between the ages of 14 and 22 with the opportunity to receive a GED, High School Diploma and hands on construction skills. We’re also in the process of initiating a youth employment program called Keep your EYES on the Prize, which will provide mentorship, wrap around services, counseling, OJT and the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education.

“I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for the minds and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.“

-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
